History of Marjoram Essential Oil

The oil is pale yellow to greenish yellow and gives off an aromatic and rustic fragrance characteristic of Marjoram Essential Oil.

Native to Asia and the Mediterranean basin, Marjoram belongs to the same botanical genus as oregano. It was used by the Egyptians to embalm their dead and appease the gods, before being a herb known to aid digestion in Ancient Rome.
